Well-rounded richness

This elegant brew is made with highly polished Dewasansan rice, yet still offers a symphony of flavors that spread to every corner of the palate. A fragrant nose of ripe green apple is followed by mellow umami and gentle acidity, leaving a pleasant aftertaste. “Kyuryu Stream Red” is a well-rounded junmai daiginjo you’ll want to cherish on its own before pairing with subtle dishes, such as caprese.

Tatenokawa Brewing Company

Who would have thought that a sake brewery founded in 1832 would develop a cutting edge identity hundreds of years later? Tatenokawa’s ambition (achieving 1% rice polishing ratio) and global friendships (Foo Fighters and Phoenix) have gained much attention in the last two decades to go along with a deep respect for their traditional methods and unwavering quality. They even have a playful brand honoring a tabby cat that wandered into their brewery, whom they call Tatenyan. They are one of the few breweries that only produce junmai daiginjo, reaching fans globally with products that will ultimately impress you ultimately with their delicious flavor.
