Maboroshi “Mystery”
Hiroshima prefecture
Crisp as a freshly picked apple
This junmai ginjo shows green apple fruit. It also reflects the Hiroshima style, which is described as “kirei,” a Japanese word meaning both “clean” and “pretty.” Overall a light and delicate junmai ginjo; lower in aroma and fruit than many ginjos. Representative of the Hiroshima region which is known for soft water and crisp flavors.

Nakao Brewing Company
The Nakao Sake Brewery was established in 1871. It soon started using the brand name Seikyo, which means “True Mirror.” The brewery selected this name for its symbolism: the sake in the cup is like a mirror of which it is hoped that (in its taste) it truly reflects the heart of the brewer. Since then they continue in the spirit of “True heart and true intentions” of the founder and are still brewing sake with total commitment.
