Made with 100% Niigata-grown rice and brewed during the cold season, this sake is bottled in its undiluted form, straight from the mash without adding water. It features a gentle aroma but a rich, bold flavor. Polished to 70%, much of the rice grain remains, so you can taste the inherent flavor of the rice along with notes of fennel and caramel. It’s best enjoyed chilled or on the rocks.

The story

Founded in 1897 in Nagaoka, Niigata prefecture, Ofuku Brewing Company is the birthplace of the “sokujo-moto” fast fermentation starter now used industrywide. Rebuilt after the 2004 earthquake, it crafts rich, mellow sake in partnership with Yamakoshi rice farmers.
