The Tohei family has been brewing sake in Chiba prefecture since 1716, and is currently run by three siblings. For brewing, they use Kurusri no Meisui spring water, which has been locally adored since ancient times. They believe that thoroughly washing the rice is the secret to truly delicious sake with a satisfying sharpness. The brewery has won many awards at competitions such as Kura Master, International Wine Challenge, National New Sake Tasting Competition and more. The name of their Fukuiwai brand combines the words “fortune” and “celebration,” conveying their wish to bring joy to special occasions and everyday life.
