Founded in 1830, the brewing company has a tradition of high quality that they have stuck to since its establishment. They’ve found the balance between using hand-prepared and koji-making methods that have been passed down for nearly 200 years and incorporating modernized equipment. There is an old saying, “Good sake comes from good water,” which the brewers live by and is why they use clean, clear underground water from the Shogawa River system. They continue to live in harmony with nature to preserve the rich, natural environment that is reflected in their sake.
